La Galería Artizar participará en EXPO CHICAGO del 7 al 10 de abril
Estamos encantados de anunciar que la Galería Artizar participará en EXPO CHICAGO del 7 al 10 de abril de 2022. Después de dos años esta prestigiosa feria de arte contemporáneo regresará a su ubicación habitual en el Navy Pier de la ciudad de Chicago.
En la Galería Artizar llevamos más de treinta años trabajando con el arte español contemporáneo y en los últimos diez años nos hemos especializado también en el arte cubano contemporáneo. En concreto, somos los representantes en Europa de algunos de los artistas más importantes de Cuba. En este proyecto expositivo, mostramos algunas de las líneas que sigue nuestra galería.
Desde artistas españoles de renombre internacional como Amparo Sard (Mallorca, 1973), cuya obra se encuentra en colecciones como el MoMA o el Guggenheim de Nueva York, hasta artistas consagrados en España con una fuerte proyección internacional como el escultor Carlos Nicanor (Canarias, 1974), y el grupo artístico Martín & Sicilia (Canarias 1974 y 1971).
El cuarteto de isleños se completa con el artista cubano Raúl Cordero (La Habana, 1971), uno de los líderes de la nueva pintura cubana, que actualmente expone una instalación interactiva en Time Square (NY).
Todos estos artistas y nuestra galería tienen algo en común: todos somos isleños: Mallorca, Canarias y Cuba. Todos trabajamos desde la insularidad y estamos en perfecta sintonía con ella, buscando la forma de llegar al resto del mundo.
We are delighted to announce that Artizar Gallery will be participating in EXPO CHICAGO from April 7-10, 2022. After two years this prestigious contemporary art fair will return to its usual location at Navy Pier in the city of Chicago.
At Galeria Artizar, we have been working with contemporary Spanish art for over thirty years and over the past ten years we have also specialized in contemporary Cuban art. Specifically, we are the European representative of some of Cuba’s most important artists.
In this exhibition project, we are showcasing some of the lines pursued by our gallery. From internationally renowned Spanish artists such as Amparo Sard (Mallorca, 1973), whose work can be found in collections such as the MoMA or the Guggenheim in New York, to established artists in Spain with a strong international profile such as the sculptor Carlos Nicanor (Canary Islands, 1974), and the artistic group Martin & Sicilia (Canary Islands 1974 and 1971).
The quartet of islanders is completed by Cuban artist Raul Cordero (Havana, 1971), one of the leaders of the new Cuban painting, who is currently exhibiting an interactive installation in Time Square (NY).
All these artists and our gallery share the same communality: we are all islanders – Mallorca, the Canary Islands, and Cuba. We all work from a position of islandness and are in perfect synch with it, anchoring the way we reach out to the rest of the world.
